Problem: Can't get the exit value in VimLeave or VimLeavePre autocommands.
Solution: Add v:exiting like in Neovim. (Yegappan Lakshmanan, closes #7395 )

Solution: Add modelines where they were missing. Use Check commands instead
of silently skipping over tests. Adjust indents and comments.
