6d91bcb4d2 patch 8.2.1432: various inconsistencies in test files 
Problem:    Various inconsistencies in test files.
Solution:   Add modelines where they were missing.  Use Check commands instead
            of silently skipping over tests.  Adjust indents and comments.

292eff0c5a patch 8.0.0708: some tests are old style 
Problem:    Some tests are old style.
Solution:   Change a few tests from old style to new style. (pschuh,
            closes #1813)
