Problem:    MS-Windows channel code only supports one channel.  Doesn't build
            without netbeans support.
Solution:   Get the channel index from the socket in the message. Closes #600.

            problems. Setting 'binary' has too many side effects.

0bbabe8080 Fixed encryption big/little endian test. 
Use uint32_t to avoid crash on 64 bit machines.
