patch 8.0.1522: popup menu is positioned in the wrong place

Problem:    Popup menu is positioned in the wrong place. (Davit Samvelyan,
            Boris Staletic)
Solution:   Correct computation of the column and the conditions for that.
            (Hirohito Higashi, closes #2640)
