<span class="firstterm">crash-and-burn machine</span> is reported

||
for a computer used exclusively for alpha or <a href="../B/beta.html"><i class="glossterm">beta</i></a>

testing, or reproducing bugs (i.e., not for development). The implication

||
is that it wouldn't be such a disaster if that machine crashed, since only
|
||
